Labradorite was believed by the Inuit to be a magical talisman imbued with the essence of Aurora Borealis, calling it "frozen northern lights". Its unique iridescent quality comes from deposits of scattered microscopic minerals.

Obsidian was used to make tools by the Inuit and was widely exchanged as a valuable trade item. Archaeological findings from Canada and the US indicate widespread use for over 10,000 years.

Pocket Rocks launched in 2024 with the aim of celebrating the stones of human history from ancient civilizations to the modern era. Our goal is to foster an appreciation for the ancient cultural practices across the globe that have created our shared history.
